Maxwell Drever, Chairman – Concierge Asset Management, has been a value-added real estate investor for nearly 40 years. Beginning in the early 1970s, Mr. Drever initiated his first counter-cyclical play via profitably transforming 17 troubled Seattle apartment complexes into desirable communities. For the last 30 years, in going from one economically distressed market to the next, he has been fortunate to work with the same transformation design "dream team" and key asset management and reconstruction specialists. During the last cycle, Concierge's portfolio consisted of 79 apartment communities with 18,000 units. In October 1997, this portfolio was merged into Walden Residential Properties, Inc. (NYSE), which was subsequently sold. After completion of a three-year non-compete period, Mr. Drever reopened Concierge. Currently, with Mr. Drever's long-standing team of specialists, Concierge is transforming potential value-added apartment communities into affordable and attractive workforce housing. In addition, as the primary investor, Mr. Drever helped launch Argus Realty Investors. Argus has provided over $1 billion in stabilized properties to IRS Code § 1031 investors.
